This program is co-sponsored by Friends of West LA (FOWLA) and the Westside Neighborhood Council (WNC).
The original idea came from OAC members during the pandemic. Because the lockdown prohibited any guests from visiting their loved ones at the local Senior Residence Community, Westwood Plaza, OAC members realized that seniors there were lacking any kind of outside contact. In 2021 OAC created 45 personalized Valentines to deliver to the residents. It was so well received the OAC realized they could do more. Tea for the Soul was born.
This monthly event brings residents together where volunteers serve them tea and some sweets from local restaurants. This program also helps support local restaurants. We are always interested in volunteers to join the event or bake!
